Who We Are

Our origins lie in the world-renowned technology and innovation lab set up by Barclaycard in 1995 from which we progressed to raise Venture Capital and establish our own ideas hub at the start of the new millennium.

This business morphed into a web developer and SEO arm, the latter of which grew into one of the UK’s leading agencies with a team of 55 people across 5 offices and 3 continents, before selling out to a PLC in 2010. The key management team were retained to provide consultancy to the Group but eventually quit to focus on the work we enjoyed best. Seriously Helpful Online Marketing was established in 2012 and is dedicated to delivering high-quality Organic SEO, Social Media and Strategic Consultancy at affordable fixed prices, with no nasty surprises or hassle.

Everything we do is ethical, with a holistic approach and delivered from the UK. We are also proud to report that on average we help double our clients’ businesses every three years.

Today we are a team of 8 with an average online marketing experience of 12 years each. As a proud employer who puts staff wellbeing and safefy first, we were one of the early ones to transition to exclusively working from home due to the COVID-19 global pandemic – our staff still work from home, which has increased productivity and output, meaning our clients actually benefit from more hours and more creative thinking – we always like to see the silver lining!
